Stop Ferry Workers Abuse Campaign
On June 28th, the BCFMWU launched a campaign asking BC Ferries to take action on worker abuse being faced by their members. In a recent survey, 82% of BC Ferry Workers said they had faced abuse from the public including yelling, threats, and harassment. Over half say that abuse affects their mental health.
BC Ferries isn’t stopping it–in some cases BC Ferries management even rewards abusive behaviour. Help us spread the word to the public to call on BC Ferries to enforce a zero tolerance policy for worker abuse.
If you want to support the campaign, there are two simple ways you can do it:
- Click here to share the campaign on Facebook
- Click here to tweet @BCFerries to tell BC Ferries to enforce a zero-tolerance policy for worker abuse
