BC Labour Heritage Centre – On to Ottawa Trek Free Virtual Tour

 In News

Wednesday, June 3 is the 85th anniversary of the night when hundreds of unemployed men scrambled onto CPR boxcars on the Vancouver waterfront to begin the On to Ottawa Trek.

Like many other organizations, the BC Labour Heritage Centre has had to be as nimble as those men in 1935 during this public health crisis. Since we cannot hold a Walking Tour to commemorate the date, we are going virtual!

Join Project Manager Bailey Garden for a free virtual tour of significant sites in British Columbia, retracing the Trek through Google Maps, archival photos, video and articles.

You can sign up here for this unique and exciting event: https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/the-on-to-ottawa-trek-85th-anniversary-virtual-tour-tickets-106977683130?aff=ebdssbonlinesearch

Thank you,

Donna Sacuta, Executive Director
