Invitation to a Free Summer Film Event – August 15, 2015

 In News

Join us as the New Westminster Museum and The New West Film Society presents a very special summer film event on Saturday, August 15th from 7:00-9:00 PM at the 1st Floor Food Hall of River Market in New Westminster.

As a part of the feature exhibition, “Our Working Waterfront, 1945-2015” at the New Westminster Museum at Anvil Centre that traces the history of our great local waterfront, we are presenting a special documentary. City of Water explores the aspirations of the many players regarding the future of the waterfront along New York City and New Jersey. In many ways the film mirrors the diverse needs and desires of our own Fraser River community.

We will have a special one-time showing of this unique short film coupled with a set of historic shorts from our own Fraser River waterfront. After we will be discussing the films, the exhibit and what we as citizens see in our future along the Fraser River.

We invite you to come, bring friends and join us in this special event.

Registration is strongly recommended. Please call 604-527-4640 or e-mail museum@newwestcity.ca and quote program # 145566 to register or for more information.

Kind regards,
