collective bargaining underway
Negotiations to renew the ILWU Longshore - BCMEA Collective Agreement got underway during the week of January 4. The Union had served notice as required in November 2009. The Parties met January 4, 5, and 6, 2010 to exchange demands and review and clarify same. More talks are scheduled through to March 10 and further dates will be scheduled as needed. Eagles Hall on 1st Avenue in Ladysmith starting at 11:30 a.m. All
retired
members and their spouses are welcome to join for a cost of $14
per year.
